The Harbor Dish is excited to announce that we will be partnering with the Primavera Music Festival this year in Safety Harbor.
The second annual Primavera festival will be held March 24 in Safety Harbor’s beautiful Waterfront Park from noon to 10 p.m. This is a free event for the whole family – but you must register to secure a space. The festival will feature a huge Easter egg drop, games, rides, live music by Ethan Parker, the Black Honkeys and other Tampa Bay bands, an artisans’ village with vendors, a food truck competition, wine and craft beer from local breweries and a fireworks display.
The Harbor Dish has offered to help by taking tickets and serving drinks at the beer and wine concessions. We are seeking 99 volunteers to work shifts throughout the day and evening.
The festival is a fund-raiser for Project Primavera, a local nonprofit that provides mentors and free music lessons for orphans and at-risk youth. It’s a perfect way to bring the community together for a day of fun that also“pays it forward.”
The Harbor Dish’s partnership with Primavera is a natural extension of our involvement in educational events at the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch that meld life skills, social skills, cooking and more. It’s a great opportunity for us to help a fellow nonprofit while increasing visibility for our own goals of opening a pay-what-you-can café, helping thwart hunger and reducing food waste and fostering a sense of community.
